MOSA Community Handbook
This handbook provides guidance for organizations under MOSA’s fiscal sponsorship and for community members involved with MOSA-sponsored events.
Fiscal Sponsorship
What is Fiscal Sponsorship?
Fiscal sponsorship allows unincorporated groups or projects to operate under the legal and financial umbrella of an established 501(c)(3) organization (in this case, MOSA). This allows them to:
- Accept tax-deductible donations
- Receive grants that require 501(c)(3) status
- Use MOSA’s financial infrastructure
- Focus on their mission rather than administrative overhead
How MOSA’s Fiscal Sponsorship Works
Note: Detailed fiscal sponsorship terms and processes will be documented here.
Financial Processes
Note: Financial reporting requirements and processes for sponsored events will be documented here.
Community Standards
All MOSA-sponsored events and initiatives are expected to maintain welcoming, inclusive environments. This includes:
- Having and enforcing a Code of Conduct
- Striving for accessibility at events
- Ensuring diverse and representative programming
